and fun place for your child to be. We offer an excellent academic program with the latest technology and state certified teachers.  At i can kids, we believe that having a positive can-do attitude in the early stages of life is what makes a child grow to become confident and successful.  

At i can kids, children are taught the strategies, tools and techniques to build self-esteem, self-reliance and self-confidence.  From our infant through our kindergarten program, i can kids provides the essential building blocks in the learning process required upon entering elementary school.  We are proud to offer our i can kids these enriching life skills and aquired knowledge to carry with them for the rest of their lives.  
 


Curriculum

Our curriculum uses an active participatory approach to learning because children learn best through hands-on experiences with people, materials, events and ideas. Our active learners have direct experiences that encourage them to think, plan, imagine, and problem-solve. The adults nurture and challenge children’s thinking with a variety of materials, thoughtful conversations, and loving interactions.


Our goals include helping children to:

• Learn with their whole bodies, using all their senses
• Maintain their natural curiosity to learn
• Communicate their thinking
• Thrive within the trusting relationships we build with them
• Develop the i can positive attitude

Another aspect of our curriculum is the action-based learning activities we have to offer our children. These activities are based on the brain research that suggests that there is a link between physical activity and increased learning. They are specifically designed for the young developing brains because movement and the brain’s learning systems are interactive and interdependent. Children have fun, move in new ways, and develop their brains for optimal learning!

Yet another highlight of our curriculum is the interactive white board accessible to all learners. It provides opportunities for the learners to see streaming videos from the internet on a 72 inch diagonal screen. They can interact with the screen as if it were a touchscreen for a computer. Not only does it allow the child to interact with the internet, but it has its own academic software that provides the hands-on experiences and manipulation of objects on the screen. The child can even use a virtual marker to write, draw, and create new learning. At the end of the session, the work can be printed out to take home. This new technology is sure to motivate and captivate our learners!
